Oro Blanco is the most exceptional cigars Davidoff has ever created. Oro Blanco consists of the rarest tobacco, harvested in 2000-2002 in one of the richest soils in all of the Dominican Republic, where the Mao, Gurabo and the Yaque Del Norte rivers weave their way through the Mao zone. After having aged for more than 12 years the cigars are rolled only by Davidoff’s most skilled rollers with over 15 years experience. Once the cigar is rolled there is an additional year of aging, at which each cigar is reviewed and approved.
Scent
The aroma from the cigar stem and wrapper includes leather, woody cream and a hint of milk chocolate; heavenly combination. Cold extracts reveal aromas of woody-creamy notes, light fruity sweetness and fresh leather.
Taste
Lighted by cedar, huge amounts of oak, cream and pepper are spewed forward to ensure a full start. Rich and slightly sweet, the skin opens up half an inch forward in this menagerie of heavy, punchy scents as the original profile softens. It is worth noting that the extract on this sample is impeccably perfect, as the creamy white ash is slowly forming.
